These two came all the way from London just for our session!

Okay, okay, and to meet their baby nephew, and to visit family and friends…….:) G is my brother’s best friend and I have literally known G since he was born. His sister happens to be MY best friend!  M, G’s wife, is the sweetest, most thoughtful person I have ever met. Even though they are stationed in England (G is in the Navy), M doesn’t miss a birthday, a holiday, or a chance to check in. She’s the glue that keeps all of us connected across the pond!

When G was stationed in Guantanamo Bay, we did a session of M and their chocolate lab as a present to G so this time around it was good to have BOTH of them in the photos!!! Their dog did not make the photo shoot this time as he is staying with friends in England…hopefully in a few years we will get the whole family together in one shot!!!

M, G, LOVE YOU! See you this summer!

Sunday Snapshot[s]

We had a bit of a blizzard yesterday, if you count almost 2 FEET of snow as a blizzard….  Here are the results. I’m sure there are many more wonderful sights to see in the snow but I did not venture passed my front door:)

Thanks to my WONDERFUL hubs who has kept the path clear for the pups, the pizza delivery guy last night AND cleared our cars (though I think he will have to do one more round today!).

We live in a snowglobe!

Like I said, we had a lot of time on Saturday and little C just kept sleeping, so we decided to play! These aren’t what I would typically do for a newborn session, but we were getting all the shots we had planned for, so we let loose a bit.

Just a short few weeks ago I was taking J and N’s maternity photos and already, Baby C is here! He is handsome and quite delectable.  Within three days I worked with two newborns and their personalities could not have been any more opposite- C slept. And slept. And then he slept some more. He woke up, got a diaper change, and then slept again!
C rings in as the youngest baby I have ever photographed (formerly 10 days old), he was a brand new 8 days old!  I am going to break this preview up into two posts because we really took our time and “played” a bit.  As always, I had a wonderful time with you guys.

When you are finished, check out N’s business—without her I would be so lost. She is the creator of my logo, Ava’s birth announcements and all kinds of beautiful fabulous-ness!  *Voila Customs*

Baby E, oh Baby E.  She is spunky already—-and a completely gorgeous little thing!  She’s just like my daughter- she doesn’t miss a thing, even as a newborn!  She was not interested in sleeping, though she did let us put a cute bow on her for mom’s Christmas-themed birth announcement idea!  And then she pooped. All over everything.

But that’s what newborns do, so it was totally okay.

Other than that I got to snuggle her up a little, and capture her interacting with her brand-new family, including their dog, Nuke!

I cannot believe little B is almost six months old! I first met B when he was just 10 days old! He’s changed so much- and weighs much more these days—more than Ava:) He’s perfect in every way- long and lean, great hair, and beautiful eyes, just like his mama. It was so nice to catch up with you guys and to drool over B….he’s insanely handsome!

Meet the O’s- little C is only three months old but man is he already a charmer!  He has these huge dimples that appear whenever mom and dad make him giggle.  We shot at the coolest location- a friend’s center city apartment.  The lighting at the O’s house was questionable and C is a bit too young for a full outdoor session, so they asked their longtime friend if we could “borrow” his space and he said yes!   With a beautiful view, this apartment had gorgeous floor to ceiling windows, perfect for a photography session.

Congratulations again on your beautiful son!

I am so happy to bring this preview to the interwebs!!! For some reason each year I have two or three families that are victims to rain or illness- repeatedly on our session day. This was our third reschedule and oh it was worth the wait.  We met on a brisk fall day and had beautiful lighting.

Thank you C’s, for being SO patient, and for being so beautiful and in love with each other, you make my “job” very insanely easy.  It’s sessions like these that remind me why I do what I do- to help YOU Capture the Art of Daily Living.

I have been in some major G family withdrawal lately.  T was my first paying client way back when and they have been such wonderful clients and friends ever since.  Little K is growing up so fast, it’s really hard to comprehend sometimes.  In just one short month she will already be four years old!  She is a precious little girl who appears quiet and shy at first and then, watch out!  It takes one split second for her to turn into a complete giggle monster!

Thank you G’s …. for everything throughout the years I’d be lost without you!

Everybody prepare yourselves to say, “Awwww”.  Little “A” got out of the car and jumped right into my arms where he stayed until we were ready to walk.  What a love bug!  As we started walking I said, “He’s three, right?” Both his parents looked at me like I was crazy and said, “Oh no he’s one and a half.”  WHAT? haha I have no idea where I got that idea from (especially because their paperwork did NOT say he was three…).

You will see another behind the scenes photo in this preview. I do not bring candy or snacks with me, but if a parent does I am not beyond using them to my benefit!
