These two are very special to me. Jon is one of my brother’s closest friends and I grew up with his family- one of his older brothers and I share a birthday, another of his brothers and I sang in choir together, and I survived many loud/long sleepovers with my brother, Jon, and their soda-guzzling-video-game-playing friends!!!   I met Lara a few years ago and loved her immediately. We trade emails and facebook messages about new recipes, runs we have completed, and cool apps for running AND cooking!

Lara and Jon together just works. They complete each other in the most natural of ways and I am so very honored that they came back to me for their engagement photos~ Lara and her family were among  some of my FIRST clients about four years ago. On that day, I made them promise me they would call me as soon as they got engaged. They were younger then and giggled and said they would, even though I could tell they figured that day was probably pretty far off in their future~ they had things to do- finish school, look for a house, get jobs…..but here they are~ all grown up, still so in love, and ready to get married!!!!

This session was done right after a snowstorm and we were not even sure what the city would look like but decided to go for it anyway! I am SO glad we did, the snow provided a gorgeous background for some romantic photos! V and I go wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy back, like to four-years-old-back! I have not seen her since high school, though we stay in contact through facebook!

I was thrilled when she and J got engaged and she shot me an email to set up a session!! Her and J are just the cutest of couples and I cannot wait to see their wedding pictures, they will be stunning! Congratulations again and have fun planning the wedding!!!!

Meet Rachel and Steve~ they are getting married May 3! We had a chilly yet fun, laid back session downtown this weekend, starting at LOVE park.

These two were such naturals~ cute and loving…I think the pictures speak for themselves!

Now I am off in this extremely chilly weather (50 degrees!) to do an engagement shoot for a very dear friend of mine!!!!!

Meet Gianna, Maria, Andrew, Jim and Angela!

I must work with some awesome people because several of my co-workers have become my clients! This weekend I met up with Jim and his wife, Angela…along with their three SLEEPY kids! All three kids had decided to sleep in that morning and were having trouble waking up. Oh, but that didn’t last long. We headed down to the lake and began playing in the water. Everybody seemed to have a lot of fun during the session (myself included).

Andrew, the oldest and the only boy, was just adorable- I mean handsome. He was laid back, a little nervous, and yet totally self-assured in his looks! I think Andrew will need to call me in a few years when he is ready to start modeling- can’t you see him in a magazine with that awesome hair and beautiful eyes? (He’s only 10!)

Maria, the middle child and oldest daughter, was great. Total middle child (like me). She was helpful, nurturing, sweet, and then in a split second, devious (hey we have to get our kicks in where we can, right Maria?). I am noticing a theme in this family- look at her gorgeous expressive eyes!!

Lastly, we have Gianna, “the little one”, or as her parents call her, “the diva”. Gianna (2 years old) showed up with a pink purse and sparkley sunglasses. Throughout the session, she let you know if she was happy or notsomuch. I love her pretty hair (we lost the barrette within the first 5 minutes of the shoot) and her (you know it) beautiful eyes.

Sandi and Matt…..really fast preview (Part ONE)
