I loved this girl from the start, because hello? We share the same name! I knew I loved her even more when I got into her nursery and saw that she has the very same bedding as my daughter (the cutest birds ever from PBK!)!

As I pulled up to her home last Sunday, I had my eyes glued to the sky—it was light black, and rapidly turning to black-black. AH!

You may be confused at this point- yes I do most newborn sessions indoors, but I do rely pretty heavily on natural light. I have some lighting equipment but I almost never bring them to shoots, unless I know I will not have light. Oh goodness.

Thankfully, baby girl’s nursery was well-lit and we were able to use the pockets of passing light.

Her big sister, Chloe (dog), kept watch and snuck in some sweet modeling poses when she saw the opportunity.

Though I always prefer to have clear/sunny skies, I cannot say I didn’t LOVE snuggling a precious new baby on such a gloom stormy day!

I love, love, love working with Brooke Harlan of Brookiellen Designs. I am constantly made giddy by her sassy and delicious creations. When you’re done here, be sure to check out her website, I bet there will be at least 5 things that you want:)

Brooke has been cranking out some new cloth diaper cover patterns so she asked me to photograph her younger son and a baby girl model in them. Though I am VERY happy Abers potty trained in June, these patterns make me miss our cloth diapers JUST a little bit!

It’s so hard to believe this little guy is about to turn one already, it seems like just yesterday we were heading to the hospital to meet him!  Colin is extra special to me because he is my nephew!!!!

I cannot believe just a short year ago, this little guy was a newborn and we were squishing him into a Phillies batting helmet at his newborn session! Too funny! They say time flies when you’re having fun and I know this family couldn’t agree more with that phrase. Little Tripp is getting so big, and we had so much fun watching him ride the carosel like an old pro.  This session was on one of those 100-degree days last week, but thankfully you cannot tell in the images. Holy mackeral, it was oppressive at Peddler’s Village!!!!

Miss Caroline is about to celebrate her first birthday….AND she is getting a sibling within a few weeks!!! What a special birthday present! How her mommy is still gracefully running around after Caroline is beyond me, but she does it with a calm beauty, even in the summer heat!

Miss Caroline had a blast running around in Rittenhouse Square, reading, snuggling, and eating a very delicious cupcake (I can say delicious with confidence because I tried some icing! HA!).

Best of luck in the next few weeks, we cannot wait to meet the new little one!!
