This is the first of two posts that I’ll be making this week- staring Aunt Sylvia and Uncle John.  They are my fake grandparents. We are not related at all, but they are extremely special to me and my family.  Uncle John is crazy- he grew up on a farm- the walk-five-miles-to-school-in-the-snow-with-bare-feet type of farm.  He was a paratrooper in World War Two.  Several times, he “ran into” Elvis at football games in Germany while serving.  For many years, he was a clown and went by the name Vogey.  He has been extremely active with the Lulu Shriners and has helped raised tons of money for children in need.

We recently found out that Uncle John’s cancer has spread to his liver. They can’t treat it.  Somehow, he’s in really good spirits. I’ve been trying to get the baby over for visits as often as I can because I know it brings joy to his day.  Here’s the first batch.  I was working in VERY low light and was trying to get some pictures without being a pain and making him move to “better light”, but I’m actually really loving the look.

Personal Update

Where has the time gone? Sessions are in full swing and we are having fun!

My sweet Ava-doo is going to be THREE months old tomorrow! I cannot believe it!

She is now obsessed with rolling. She has rolled from her belly since week 5, but just a few days ago discovered rolling from her back!  She is just tickled with herself and with life, it’s the best!
