Women of Heart Gallery Event
Posted on October 31, 2011

Come see me, check out some beautiful art, and support a great cause at the Women of Heart juried art exhibition!
When: Wednesday, November 2 · 7:00pm – 10:00pm
What: This is the culmination of the Women of Heart effort!
Why: Women of Heart was born when Katie Bradford Osborne realized that November 2, 2011 would have been her father’s 60th birthday had she not lost him to cancer 3 years ago. She wanted to use her best talents (my Portrait of a Woman program) to help others affected by cancer. And she wanted to give other artists a way to do that, too!
Featured will be the portraits of the women who scheduled mini Portrait of a Woman sessions with her during the month of October along with artwork by other talented artists such as Caitlin Domanico, Jenna Walcott, Brendan Burke, Alix Passage, Katherine Fraser, Christie Young… and MORE!
Come bring your friends, your loved ones, those you know may have been affected by Cancer and give them a way to take action. Remember, each gallery purchase is funds toward the cause – benefiting the Cancer Support Community of Philadelphia – so help us fill the gallery with kind hearts and art lovers!
There will be food, friends, amazing live entertainment (http://www.williamsboy.com

artDEALS at ACPPA Community Art Center
Posted on October 30, 2011
Now introducing artDEALS at ACPPA Community Art Center! ACPPA is a hidden gem located in Norristown, offering everything from dance classes, to pottery, to sewing classes! So far, I have taken adult ballet and sewing there, and would have had Ava there for Mommy and Me ballet had my schedule allowed!
ACPPA has partnered with artDEALS to bring you even more accessibility to making the arts a priority in your family. artDEALS is kind of like groupon, living social and other popular saving sites, but artDEALS is available on ACPPA’s website and does not change daily. Savings are listed until they are sold out and can be purchased securely through paypal right on site.
This is a great way for families to try new artistic ventures without breaking the bank.
ACPPA has been newly renovated with bright, spacious studios. They offer affordable classes for toddlers through adults. Their caring, professional teaching artists lead small classes where students receive individual attention whether they study music, dance, visual arts, or drama.
ACPPA’s recent expansion boasts two dance studios with hardwood flooring, a pottery
studio across the hall from the painting studio, a performing arts studio with built
in practice stage, and comfortable, child friendly waiting areas. Ample off street
parking make it easy to scoot your little ones in and out of the art center.
Read what Kelly W. writes on yelp.com, I couldn’t have said it better myself, “I love art and community so ACPPA is pretty much tops on my list of activities with my kids. My girls have taken art and ballet classes there and I’ve taken art, sewing, and yoga classes. The prices of the classes are very reasonable – at least a third to half the price of other art and
dance classes. ACPPA offers lots of one day special programs and open clay
studios if you are not ready to commit to full session. Check it out – you won’t be
sorry.”
November promotions include:
50% OFF 5 Open Pottery Studios Sessions – Only $10 pays the sitting fees for 5
Open Pottery Sessions and includes a free pound of clay! Regularly $20 – does not include price of premade pottery for glazing – open

We are paying clients of ACPPA. We strongly believe in both the arts center and the arts community, so this post is not sponsored, but rather written out of our love for ACPPA:)! All opinions are still our own.

This session was a long time coming. C contacted me a year and a half ago, and then again some months later, and finally, finally, our schedules coordinated and we had an AWESOME session last week!!! We even re-created M’s communion photos, with a brand-new suit, since his suit from a year-and-a-half ago no longer fits! I love it.
It is probably clear from all of my blog posts that I LOVE working with babies. It’s my specialty, in fact, but it is so wonderfully fantastic to work with “big kids” every once and awhile! I am allowed to be creative in a whole new way, and I really enjoy brainstorming with the kids during the shoot.
Thank you, M and C, you guys ROCK!!!

Life on the Farm * Bucks County Family Photography

This shoot was really fun and exciting for me~we had exclusive access to the most am my life. When I say barn, I am including a BAR in that location. The property was a photographer’s dream!
I really enjoyed getting to know this family, especially since my husband and sister-in-law grew up with Heather! I had never met her, and she sent me a client inquiry without realizing I was married to her old classmate. Too funny! It is a small world indeed!

The Red Door * Doylestown Family Photography
Posted on October 27, 2011
Each year, I meet the C family by the red door in Doylestown. We used this door at our very first session, and have done sessions in other places (Center City, their home), but we always return to the red door. It is so neat to see how much precious Finn has grown, and now we have the addition of baby Maxx to add to the mix!
Imagine what an amazing chronically this family will have when the boys are in high school or (gulp!!) getting married!!!
Have you entered our current contest yet?
