The Dallas Farmers Market

Posted on April 28, 2011

Hi everyone!  You may have noticed some interesting backgrounds in my recent photos- Stockyards, Bluebonnets, etc—–my family and I snuck down to Texas for a week!

We had a blast visiting family and exploring the sights, but one of my most favorite activities was visiting the Dallas Farmer’s Market! It’s HUGE and has been in operation since 1941! All the vendors (local farmers and produce vendors) were really nice and almost all of them offered free samples- freshly cut pineapple, tomatoes sprinkled with salt and pepper, local honey, and melons galore!  All this fresh goodness was especially exciting for a Philadelphia-family —when we left PA for TX, almost nothing was in season!

Waiting on Baby Liam * Bucks County Maternity Photography

Posted on April 25, 2011

When I met Meg six years ago, I NEVER thought I’d be where I am today- a photographer, photographing her maternity session! I love, love, love the beautiful family she has created with her husband, and am so honored to document her older three as they grow. Come June, we will be adding precious Liam to that group. Bring it on, Liam!

I hope labor is fast and easy, Meg!!!!

Ummm yeah, perfect location! Just awesome! She had a blast checking out all the cows (“tows”), cowboys, and riding the mechanical horsies!!!

Happy birthday, Little Lady!!!!!! There will be many more to come:)

Last week my daughter turned TWO so we invited my niece and sister to come with us for a morning of fun. We headed to Peddler’s Village for carousel rides, ice cream, and cupcakes.  Lily looked so insanely cute that I just needed to stage a mini photo shoot.

Can you believe she’s two-and-a-half? I love this little honey girl with all my heart!!!!!

Emily and Her Crew * Philadelphia Images of Hope

Posted on April 17, 2011

I got to meet beautiful Emily and her family last weekend in Rittenhouse Square. Her session was my first session with Images of Hope, and I was really, really looking forward to it!

Sweet Emily is 3 1/2 years old and has a rare chromosome disorder that comes along with a host of life threatening medical conditions.  This little chick is a fighter and her family is just LOVELY and strong!  Emily is part of at threesome- she is a triplet, and then she has another brother who was in the image I posted in the Tiny Sneak Peek post earlier in the week.

To Emily’s family- thank you for driving into the city to meet me, and thank you for trusting me to capture these images for you- it was an honor.

Ohhhh Elsa! * Philadelphia Newborn Photography

Posted on April 15, 2011

Rachel’s friend Beth contacted me from LA months ago to discuss setting up a session for her good friend who was expecting her first baby.  Beth and I spent an afternoon on the phone discussing photography- the ins and outs, including Beth’s job as a set-photographer in Hollywood (OMG!!!) and how she and Rachel met in college as photography majors.  I had a feeling I would get along with Rachel, since Beth and I sounded like long-lost sisters that afternoon gabbing away!

I arrived at Rachel’s house on Sunday and was greeted by her, Jason, their two cats, and their beautiful new little lady, Elsa.  Rachel and Jason couldn’t be more laid back and kind- they offered to make me breakfast AND lunch over the course of my visit:)  Elsa was very content. She didn’t need long bouts of swaddling and soothing, but she did need several blanket changes. This chickie kept us on our toes, and in fits of laughter and she continuously peed, spit up and ……well you get the picture, on our blankets. NOTHING phases me, but poor Rachel and Jason kept apologizing….any of my newborn clients will tell you, this is a NORM in new baby sessions;)

I had a great time getting to know this sweet artistic family and I absolutely loved little Elsa, what a pretty babe!
