I had the extreme honor to attend a Great Gatsby Gala put on by Kamila Harris and Cheekadee Makeup to celebrate the grand opening of their studio in Chestnut Hill. Because ya never know what you are going to get! While shooting Anderson’s one-year-old session, she decided she wanted to give mama a huge SMOOCH! I shot away and when mom had tears in her eyes, I got worried—-until she happily told me that was Anderson’s FIRST kiss!!!!! How awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you know Norristown has a ZOO!? Yup, they do and it’s a mighty fun little zoo! It’s called Elmwood Zoo and has been around since 1924 and my parents used to take us there when we were babies! I love when life comes full circle, because here we are, 27 years later, taking Ava. We decided to go for the family membership this year and we have already “made back” our money due to our several visits on warm days.
The zoo is small but perfect for little feet or babes in strollers. There are plenty of animals to see including monkey varieties, a jaguar, a butterfly conservatory, an elk, buffalo, PRAIRIE dogs, and so much more.
