I had the opportunity to help out my little brother last weekend by doing a photo shoot AT 7-11. My brother is a senior at Rutgers and is awesome enough to get one of his articles for class published in a convenience store magazine! He needed a photograph for submission as well, so who else would he call?  It was very out of my norm, but it was fun!

As you scroll down you are probably thinking, “whoa, tons of Ava, no clients”!

I just wanted to remind you that I took 1 month completely off to enjoy the holidays with my family and to help me ease back into my return to teaching.  Client sessions resume this Saturday and I am booking into late February, early March right now.

I have a bunch of newborns coming up, I can’t wait!!

Ever since we had Ava, we have been trying to really educate ourselves about healthy eating. We feed Ava everything that we eat and she loves EVERY type of food and spice. She shocks me with each new food she loves (her current favorite = egggplant parm).  I recently discovered Meal Planning Mommies.  Meal Planning Mommies is a cool blog that provides weekly meal plans, toddler meals, information regarding ingredient substitutions, downloadable grocery lists, and more!

Planning out or meals for the week is the only way I can survive being a mom who owns a business, and who 3 days out of the week is a special ed teacher! Crazy! MPM is going to be a huge help in keeping me sane.

The Little Tree House Play Cafe in Chestnut Hill, PA

The Little Tree House is a kid-friendly restaurant that allows parents to grab a latte and relax as their kids play with environmentally safe wooden toys.  I went last week with Ava, my sister & niece, and two friends & their babies.  Ava and M were a little young for it, though they loved checking out the toys and kid-watching. My niece and the other 1+ year old had a lot of fun running around, going down the slide, checking out the trains, and jumping into pillow piles.  It’s $7.50/child with no  time limit, which is nice.

The only downside (in my opinion)- no outside food. I had packed cheerios and string cheese for Ava and ended up having to BUY cheerios and string cheese…errr.
