Client Preview : Big J * Bucks County Child Photographer

Meet J.  J is shy at first but bursting with spunk once you get him going. He skipped rocks for me, jumped off of tables, and modeled like a pro!  I like when I get to work one-on-one with older chidren, and by older children I mean not a baby, it is a completely different session- a bit more unpredictable. J did a great job of mixing serious and innocent with crazy and carefree.

Word on the street is…he asked his mom for my number so we could talk on the phone and so he could invite me over for dinner! I love it!

This little guy is only one day younger than my baby girl.  His mom is one of my co-workers and we delivered one day apart at the same hospital! Pretty cool huh? Well check out 6 month old B- he’s adorable! He has a ton of wispy blond hair which is just so stinkin’ cute.  You’ll have to pardon the NY Giants gear, I don’t endorse any team but the Eagles, but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do, right? :) :):)

At least you guys looks extremely CUTE in your Giants outfits!

Enjoy R family!

I can’t stop posting pictures of E and her little darling- life is good, isn’t it? These two are smitten with each other. Getting to this point took longer than the R’s ever hoped it would, but I think it’s safe to say that baby B was WELL worth the wait!

Okay, maybe it is because my ears are still ringing from the Bruce Springsteen concert last night, but the entire time I was editing this session, I kept singing:

“I’m waitin’, waitin’ on a sunny day
Gonna chase the clouds away
Waitin’ on a sunny day”

[Bruce Springsteen]

This family was brave. This family was courageous.  This family was CRAZY! Okay, but I was right there with them, so that must make me crazy, too.  It was raining during their shoot so did we reschedule? No! We went for it!  They stopped at K-Mart on the way and grabbed FIVE umbrellas and they were on their way.  I’ve never done a whole shoot in the rain like this, but it was great! We found some covered spots to get some nice close ups and then we let loose and played in the puddles.

Thank you for being so flexible and fun K family!

I particularly love this shot of R.  R has Asperger’s Syndrome (a high functioning level of Autism) and dislikes the rain.  He was unsure of the situation he was in until he heard the sounds of an oncoming train—his favorite thing in the world! R was captivated and put at ease for the rest of the session–I was so proud of him!

These two are still relatively newlyweds—-they’re so giggly and cute! Congratulations again!!!!!

Last I saw little A, she was a newborn- and it was the day of the Phillies World Series Championship parade! This little darling sure has grown and she’s just ridiculously cute. She reminds me a lot of my baby, small but mighty. She’s petite and full of spunk! Happy first birthday, A!

Congratulations N and J for surviving a year of parenthood!!

Devon posted this on Mama Cheaps tonight and well, I couldn’t have said it better!

G-R-A-T-I-T-U-D-E. That’s what I’m filled with. I am so fortunate to know so many people who are so incredibly giving and generous. Tomorrow is our breast cancer walk. So far we have raised over $2,000 and I wouldn’t be surprised if we came close to (or surpassed!) $3,000. How awesome!

On Thursday night we had a 2nd big fundraiser at PJ Whelihan’s Pub in Blue Bell, PA. The event was sponsored by our fantastic realtor friends- Mittman + Rehling. Friends, family, and associates came out in full force and we raised almost $600!!! (The only bad occurrence was the Phillies losing. LOL)

I just wanted to give yet another shout out to the amazing companies that we’ve worked with throughout this fundraising effort. Here they all are:

Seriously Cool Stuff Saturday!

Who doesn’t like free stuff?  As a contributor to www.mamacheaps.com, sometimes I get the chance to review “free stuff”, as long as I blog about it and share it with all my friends.  This week’s review item is not for www.mamacheaps.com,  but just for me to share with my mom friends!

MLP-TWA-Cover-FINAL_1

As many of you know, I grew up riding horses on our farm in Bucks County.  My sister and I LOVED horses and everything related to them-including My Little Ponys!!!! Remember them? Well they are still around, and I got to preview the new movie—My Little Pony: Twinkle Wish Adventure. How cool!!!  This movie will be out officially on October 13th.  As my daughter is still too young, I previewed it with one of my friend’s daughters, oh what fun we had!  The dvd is 81 minutes and is jam-packed with cuteness.  There is the actual movie that has Pinkie Pie and her friends and their adventure to find the Wishing Star, and then there is an animated short, six sing-along songs, downloadable coloring sheets, cut out pony activities, and four fun activities.  Pretty cool huh?  Thanks Shout Factory and Hasboro!!!

Here’s the best part! They gave me an extra copy to share with one of you! Leave a comment here to win! You have until Wednesday, 10/14 and will be notified by email!

As you know, we’ve teamed up with www.mamacheaps.com to fight breast cancer- a cause near and dear to our hearts as we lost our own mom six years ago to the disease.

On Friday night, Devon and I threw a party for our closest family and friends- A Pink Martini Ladies Night—sponsored by Johnson & Johnson!

We had a ton of fabulous giveaways and raised $400!

Thank you to everybody that came. If you’re around tonight, join us at PJ’s in Blue Bell from 5-8pm for food, drinks, and MORE giveaways, including a FREE session fee! Tonight’s event is being thrown by our amazing realtors, Mittman Rehling!

Hope to see you there!
