Check out baby B! You last saw him three months ago as a tiny 10 day old…and now he’s like a mature little man!!!!!! He’s still wide-eyed and completely interested in the world around him. M’s- it was GREAT to see you (thanks for the coffee!)!! I will see you in December!
Enjoy:)

I cannot believe how much little A has grown since last year! Last year, he was this tiny little thing – eating Cheerios, and playing with his new baby basketball hoop. Check him out now- he’s on the move, loves cars, and is about to be a big brother!!!!! The B’s are expecting a baby girl in early November [I know...mom looks crazy good!]…I can’t wait to meet her and see this family transform into a family of four.
It must be the moon cycle- A made me WORK for these pictures—I believe this is the third little one in two weeks to really not be pleased with me:)
I have to admit, as a teacher and a mom, I enjoy the challenge! Enjoy B’s….and best of luck and health in the coming months!

I love this family! M makes me work for my money (though I bet you can’t tell by the photos), and N makes my job soooo easy. Mom and Dad are laid back and insanely cute and creative. I haven’t worked with them in about a year, but it really felt like no time at all passed between sessions- they are just that cool!
We met up at Gwynedd Mercy College last weekend and (surprise, suprise) ran out of light at the end. We technically had gotten plenty of pictures, but we decided to stay a bit longer and play- I’m so glad we did!
Thanks D’s—I’ll see you next summer!

Seriously Cool Stuff Saturday!!!
Posted on September 12, 2009

Today’s seriously cool thing is a muslin wrap from Aden and Anais!
I had never seen one (or even heard of them) until last Saturday’s session (posted yesterday). The twins had three- here is one of them:

They also have girraffes and elephants. I went to the website and there are several patterns/prints available. I know what you’re thinking- they are expensive for a baby blanket, but there are several reasons I think they are worth it:
1. They are much larger than typical receiving blankets.
2. The muslin fabric is extremely lightweight- so it would be appropriate in the summer or winter.
3. Did I mention they’re CUTE?!
4. These are perfect for photo sessions- they add a fun sweetness to sleeping baby photos!
5. You could very easily give this to a newborn OR a toddler- that’s how big and versatile they are!
6. UPDATE!: Target now carries them- 4/$29.99!!!! Thanks Maggie!
Next week I’ll get back to non-baby posts!

I will admit it, I’m a sucker for babies. I love their soft skin, their silly noises, and their snuggly-ness (that’s a word, right?)…this session threw me over the edge- TWINS! Meet Frankie and Ellie (I know- swoon). They were four weeks old and each weighed around 5.5lbs. Ava was never that small, ever! They were so, so, so sweet and adorable. At four weeks old they each already totally have their own personalities–I loved every second of it!
Congrats Mama and Dad—double the fun and double the love, lucky you!!!!!

The internet is a fabulous invention, isn’t it? Because of the internet, I was able to catch up with J and her mom who I have not seen is a good 10 years! I also had the pleasure of meeting J’s husband and little boy as you’ll see below.
This family is so cute- not afraid to get down and dirty in nature, as we explored the trails behind J’s parent’s house. We dodged prickers and mud- as their dog and little D led the way! The sky was a beautiful sea of clouds that night which has a downside- we lost light insanely fast. What do we do in that situation, you ask? We schedule part two! No big thang! So now I get to have not one, but two fabulous sessions with this family!
Check these out and come back for part two in a few weeks!!!!

Big boy preschool shoes (good luck this week, D!!!!)!

D and “George”

When a session gets dark, play around, think outside the box, and have fun!

cour-age
[kur-ij, kuhr-]
–noun
the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, etc., without fear; bravery.
In just 11 months, this family has overcome more than seems possible to fathom. Last fall, A and S were excitedly expecting twin boys. They had just hit the halfway mark in their pregnancy when their world was flipped upside down. A was admitted to the hospital when she was only 23 weeks along, and 1 short week later, their beautiful miracle boys were born. Logan weighed just 1 lb., 7 oz. and his little brother Landon weighed 1 lb., 10 oz. They spent the next three months growing and fighting in the nicu, until January of this year when they both finally came home. With permission from their mama, I wanted to share with you a newborn picture, and one from their first Halloween when they were almost 1 month old:

Now look at them!!!! These guys have made so much progress-they are strong, they are resilient, and they are litte LOVE BUGS!

They love to hear the words “pizza” and “zebra” and love snuggling with their mommy and daddy.
Thank you for sharing your story, M family–you are an inspiration! I am looking forward to part two!
