Ohhhhh to be three weeks young again. This sweet little mama slept so soundly for us, she was really quite amazing. The D’s met me at my studio space—they were my first session there! We popped her in the boppy and blanket, turned on some heat and white noise and boom, out like a light.

Baby Giulia (I love her name so much—and it gets better, they call her Gigi!!!) is precious and has way more hair than my five month old does!

Thank you, D Family for venturing out to Norristown, I had such a lovely time with you (as we all almost fell asleep–the white noise works wonders, doesn’t it?)!!!

This little man is an-ge-lic. In a manly boy-like baby way!  He fell asleep for us like a good boy and let us get adorably fabulous photographs.  Little R did his mama a favor and came a few weeks early (he was not a preemie though), and now, they’re all just getting to know each other—-and they are already so in love.

Christmas sessions are completely filled now, with the exception of one or two mini-session slots.   Thank you for planning ahead and booking like crazy!  I have just a few December slots left, and then I will be giving myself a little vacation at Christmas, so I can spend time with the family and (mentally haha) prepare for my return to teaching in January.

2010 Pricing will be available in the next few weeks, thank you for all of your input on that!

Seriously Cool Stuff Saturday

Today’s seriously cool thing is BARTERING!   Bring back the times of old—if you have a talent, use it!  In the last two years, I have found fabulous ways to trade my skill to recieve something that I want!  Yesterday’s hair appointment was FREE because I’ll be photographing my stylist’s son next month!

Lots of photographers like to swap sessions with each other….and it’s just really cool.  My maternity pix by Angela? I photographed her son in exchange!

I LOVE them!!!! I can’t imagine what else she got, they’re going to be amazing!!!!!!!!!!

Bartering doesn’t always work, and you have to be mindful of what each person’s skill/item is worth and keep it equal!

Hi everybody! I have some fabulous news to reveal—

WHAT: I have secured a spot to do newborn and young baby sessions!!!! While I will not be opening a studio (yet), it’s safe to say I have studio space available, by appointment!

WHO: will benefit from this?  Clients who want to book a newborn or baby session that have limited natural light in their homes.  I am fortunate to have dozens of center city clients, but often we struggle with lighting during sessions.

HOW: Want to book a session?  Studio inquiries will be treated like regular session inquiries.

WHEN: It is highly recommended that clients book two months in advance to secure a spot.

WHERE: The studio is located at the ACPPA Arts Center in Norristown, PA. Norristown is in Montgomery County, right by King of Prussia!

This is the cutest family ever. Baby G is 10 months old and is rockin’ 4 teeth—soooooooo adorable! We met up Sunday evening at Love Park and meandered around the city getting great shots.  Mom and Dad were up for anything, which makes my job insanely easy.  Dad kept us in a fit of laughter with his intense modeling skills–very impressive:)  Thank you for meeting me–and for being so easy going about our previously rained out session!

Ok, so Lily is technically not my client—she’s my niece, and she is already ONE!!!!!!!!!!!  We had a special week- we went to Rice’s outdoor market on her birthday (along with Ava, my sister, and our aunt), then Friday night we took her pictures and presented her with her very own cake, and yesterday was her big birthday bash! I cannot believe how much she has grown up in the last year, but she’s amazing.  Happy happy birthday, my sweet Louie!!!!  I love you!

Today’s seriously cool things are camera straps from Phat Straps!

I am a sucker for pretty things. I like gorgeous bags, shoes, hair accesories, and my biggest addiction- camera accessories.   When I first started my business, I had an industrial looking lowepro bag and though it did the job, it was UGLY! I needed something fun and fabulous, so I started my search.  I found major love in Tracy Joy bags, straps, and wristlets.  I have so many items from her and almost cried last year when she announced she was going to close her business.  Thankfully, through some internet searching, I found a new store– Phat Straps!

I actually bought from their etsy store (all hand-made, yay!).

I have several wristlets already, so this time I bought regular sized straps—and they are delicious!
