PHILLIES MANIA

Posted on October 31, 2008

Everywhere I go people are smiling while wearing their red and blue. All of my students have been excited about it- and with Halloween coming tomorrow that’s impressive for 3-5 year olds!

In addition to working today, I had quite the adventure. I was out last night, on my lunch, after work, and tonight trying to scoop up all the Phillies gear I could.

Here was the scene last night at Modells in Montgomeryville. The line went across the parking lot all the way to Knapp Road. We did NOT attempt to stand in line!

Today, I had to get newspapers for Dad, Devon, JP and Jamie (I looked at the hospital, gas stations, grocery stores, and convenience stores and finally found 4 Daily News at Redners).

I also had to get 2 tshirts and a hat, for JP and I.

Devon was at Modells in a huge line so I ran there during my lunch break. I quickly piled a hoodie for JP, baby bib and little teddy bear for Baby D (hey, they experienced it in the womb- it can hear now haha) on Lily’s stroller. I gave her a blank check then headed back to work.

After that, I headed to the mall and found our tshirts at JC Penney, but no hats were left anywhere:(

I came home exhausted and slept for 3 hours. JP went to the mall to see if the second shipment of hats arrived at Champs as promised. It did! He came home and laughed to see me still asleep as it had been dark outside for an hour or two.
He tried on his tshirt and … it was SNUG! OH NO! So….we did what any fans would do- headed back to the mall. There were NO SHIRTS! We were walking toward the food court for some dinner for JP and a smoothie for me, and I spotted them! We got JP the next size, stopped at the food court and headed home.

WOW.

Though most of the city is on a high, some poops were destructive last night- here is JP’s old office: Photobucket

Yikes.

I can’t wait to sleep again!

Congratulations to the Philadelphia Phillies!!!!!!!!!!

Last they won JP and my sister were just BORN (I was just a twinkle in my mother’s eye), so its fitting that they win in 08 when Lily was born and Baby D is in utero:)

What’s going on?

Posted on October 28, 2008

Just felt the need to update today! My hubby just called telling me to be careful on my way into work this AM as it’s snowing! It’s just a flurry/rain mix but I am thrilled. I have been so in the mood for snow! The perfect day would be joining my doxie who is back in bed under our comforter….

I have been keeping busy lately with sessions, private sessions, teaching, and homelife, but things are good! JP started his new job a week ago and really enjoys it. He especially enjoys the short commute. He left 20 minutes ago, stopped at Starbucks and is almost there! (he used to drive 1+ hour each way into the city)

Speaking of the city- the Phillies are thisclose to winning the World Series! GO PHILLIES!!! Last night my sister called at 10 something because her power had gone out. As she has waiting 28 years for this moment (her and JP were born in 1980), her, Bob and the baby came over in the rain, arriving just in time for the rain delay, and then the call of the game. At least we got to snuggle Lily!
I stole these pix from my sister’s blog, taken BEFORE their power went out:)

In JP’s time at home he has done so much work on the nursery- it is now painted, has new carpets and a closet organizer! It looks beautiful. We find out the sex in 3 weeks and 2 days (who is counting?), when I will be 20 weeks along. Yowsas! Things are going well, I continue to feel really good and we are really excited.

Lastly I will leave you with a series of pictures. JP and I went on a lunch date Saturday to Cheeburger Cheeburger and JP decided to tackle the 1lb burger. That=4 quarter pounders….

He’s pumped:

That burger had NO chance:

Remember Maura???

Posted on October 26, 2008

Maura is a little cutie that I photographed this July (check it out here). I had the absolute pleasure of photographing her again this Saturday. We met at The Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia—which by the way, it’s the new one and it’s AMAZING. Nothing like the old one!

I couldn’t believe how much Maura has changed, just in the last few months. It seems she has gone from baby to spunky toddler! We had a great time following her around and watching her explore.

Enjoy K and V!

Your favorite ladies are back!

Posted on October 23, 2008

Remember Meg and Julie in their white dresses this summer? We had a freezing cold session in 43 degree weather last weekend. We met in Doylestown and had a little tour looking for the coolest spots to take pictures. The girls greeted me with a huge hug and entertained me with their normal wackiness.

Enjoy your preview…and please book me again:) You are all just too much fun!

Busy weekend

Posted on October 20, 2008

This weekend was very fun but very busy! My dad was in from Texas so we got to spend some good quality time with him. Today I had two shoots- one freezing one in Doylestown and a private one in Philly on Penn’s campus.

Here are some pictures from the farm:)

Client Preview: D Family

Posted on October 17, 2008

Oh man, this little chick is CUTE! And she has a puppy to boot- it doesn’t get much better than that. I met this sweet family at Peace Valley Park (one of my favorites) for a gorgeous fall session. Mom, dad, and Miss S. all looked completely stylin’ in their coordinated outfits.

Thank you for being soooo easy going and fun, and good luck with your amazingly cute pupper!!!
