"Daily Kind Sweet Gift"
Posted on April 24, 2008
Erin over at Simple Bangles requested a daily kind sweet gift blog in response to my Daymaker post. I stink at keeping up with multiple blogs, and I stink at daily posts BUT I have something for you tonight! I think if it’s sporadic it will have more impact.
<3 thank you Erin!
Today’s quote:
“All you need is love.”
~The Beatles
And the sweet pix to accompany, my cousin-in-laws’ new puppy!!!

Me in ACTION!
Posted on April 24, 2008
I thought these were fun~ here’s me in action at the free mumia rally.
I have to admit, I was slightly scared. I’d never been to a rally before and seeing it (and hearing it) from several blocks over was rather daunting…But as soon as we were there, I was in my element. I made sure to smile at all the officers sweetly so they knew I wasn’t there in support of the rally and then I dove right in.
I’ll post some more images later.

Life as a Daymaker
Posted on April 23, 2008

I read this awesome book this week by David Wagner called Life as a Daymaker.
The author talks about ways to make your life better by making people’s days better. I love this concept and try to live it, though honestly sometimes life gets in the way, and negative thoughts take over. Reading this book was refreshing and was a good reminder to live my life the way I prefer (and not how my stress dictates). I am no Mother Theresa, but I’m trying:)
One of my favorite quotes was in the book and reading it sent me back to a time in college when this quote live on my dorm wall. With my mom dying it was easy for me to feel sorry for myself and also judge others if they did not react appropriately to my needs (even if my needs included solitude).
“Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.”
-Plato
I passed it on to two co-workers who are having a tough time…and I am continually repeating it to myself to help balance my judgments.
My gift to you:
This sweet picture:)

Sweet sweet email!
Posted on April 20, 2008
Oh my gosh! I was in Human Resources today! I am in love! I am so impressed and just completely touched that she is a major part of your work! Your pictures capture people’s hearts and speak so many messages! For example, to me the one of Kate coming off of the bar after hanging on it…means strength and determination! She wanted to hang from there so badly and did not do it until that day! It brings back the moment in the hospital when the 1st doctor questioned if she would have severe birth issues…even walking!!
The Tutu picture I am calling…”I hope you dance”
My beautiful miracle born… so early…so little..so frail!!
As I watch her stand there looking out the window…I watch her look at the world and in my heart I hear the song “I hope you dance”. Leann Womack) …the world will be a different place with her in it!!
AND YOU CAPTURED THIS BEAUTIFUL MOMENT AND THIS BREATHTAKING MEMORY!!
THANK YOU!

Free Mumia Rally- part one
Posted on April 20, 2008
Ok let me preface by saying I do not condone this.
Ericha and I were driving home from a session yesterday and we ran into this rally to Free Mumia. I’ve never been to a rally, and I saw the opportunity for great photojournalism…so I worked on Ericha as we crawled through the traffic for several blocks:)
Here’s part one.
