Meet JOEY!

Posted on March 30, 2008

Today I met Joey, his mom Renee, and his 120 lb dog, Copper. This photo session is a surprise wedding gift for his dad/Renee’s fiance. Shhhh! Don’t tell:)

Now his mom, Renee, warned me on the phone last week~ Joey can be very shy. I told her, don’t worry, I’ll get him out of his shell…and holy tacos….3 minutes after meeting him, he was a crazy man! I love sessions with little boys as they are extremely silly and energetic and Joey was no exception. The photos were taken at Valley Green right near Chestnut Hill. Here are a few of my favorites!

Renee~ your gallery will be up in a few hours!

I corinithians 13:12 “now we see things imperfectly as in a cloudy mirror” but the author of my devotions says it doesn’t end there, but instead with “but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. all that i now know is partial and incomplete, but then i will know everything completely” – my translation says “then we shall see face to face”

Images of Hope

Posted on March 25, 2008

I recently joined Images of Hope, a special group that provides free of charge photography sessions to children with life-threatening illnesses. Please read on and forward this to anybody you know who could use my services.

Thank you!
Caitlin

Eligibility and Details

Any child or teen (infant – 18yrs.) who is currently fighting or has fought or suffers from cancer or a life threatening illness is eligible for an Images of HOPE photo shoot. The child/teen can choose to have their picture taken alone or with the entire family… siblings, mom, dad, dogs…etc. If you have already won the battle against cancer, we ask that you are within 3 years of your winning date.

The photo session will be taken either at your home or at a location of your choice within 20 miles. Sessions typically run for about 1-2 hours. Feel free to bring favorite items that you may want included in the image with your child (blankie, hats, dolls, etc.) You can expect to receive about 20-30 images on CD all edited in my digital darkroom. It cost nothing to have this session done. Just be ready to smile!

If this is something you are interested in having done, please email me through my photography website. Just be sure to state Images of HOPE and give a brief statment about your story. www.jessicaoatmanphotography.com

There is HOPE in the face of a devastating diagnosis.

About:

Images of Hope is a non-profit organization that brings awareness to childhood cancers and illnesses through photography. We offer special sessions free of charge to children and familes who are dealing with cancer. Finding out your child has cancer or a life threatening illness is every parents worst nightmare. Although relatively rare, children continue to be diagnosed with cancer each year and it continues to remain the number one killer of America’s children – more than Cystic Fibrosis, Muscular Dystrophy, Asthma and AIDS combined.

By capturing images of children with these life threatening diseases we hope to spread awareness and capture priceless moments that will last a lifetime. For most of these families, pictures are the last thing they would go out and have done while in the middle of dealing with a crisis. But years later, as they look back, these images will be the memories of a hero and the hope for future children who will be diagnosed with a devastating disease.

Jen of Home Sweet Home Pet Sitting Services

Posted on March 22, 2008

Yesterday I had a really fun session with one of my best friends, Jen of Home Sweet Home Pet Sitting Services.

This was actually a huge challenge for me, since Jen and I do not know how to be serious together. I am so happy with how they all came out! Her dogs Jessie and Merry (Murry) and her Duck, Huey were all good models as well.

Enjoy your preview!!!!!!!
